Stephen Cumming has resigned as CFO and vice president of finance at Atmel Corp. Steve Skaggs, senior vice president of corporate strategy and development at the microcontroller designer and manufacturer, will add to his responsibilities as interim CFO.

Hanmi Financial Corp. has named Shick Yoon to head finance. Yoon, who was interim CFO, also formerly held the posts of chief strategy officer, deputy CFO, treasurer and senior planning officer at the firm.

CFO Daniel Schwartz has been promoted to chief operating officer at Burger King Worldwide Inc. and will be named CEO in July. Joshua Kobza, senor vice president, global finance, will take over as finance chief.

Heath Byrd has been promoted to the top finance spot at Sonic Automotive Inc. He has been chief information officer since he joined the firm in 2007.

Consolidated Precision Products Corp. has named Andy Klaus to lead the finance function. He succeeds Ron Hamilton, who has been appointed vice president of the firm’s structural investment casting group. Formerly, Klaus was corporate controller at JMC Steel Group.

Medical-technology firm Kinetic Concepts Inc. has selected Robert Hureau to head finance, effective next month. Most recently, he was CFO of Sensata Technology Holdings NV.

Getty Images Inc. has named Tara Comonte as its next finance chief. Previously, she was global CFO of McCann Worldgroup.

Industrial firm Harsco Corp. has appointed F. Nicholas Grasberger to lead the finance function. He comes to the company from the precision polymers division of Fenner PLC, where he was managing director.

William Jellison has been named to the top finance spot at medical-technology company Stryker Corp. He succeeds Dean Bergy, who had served as interim CFO in addition to his role as vice president, corporate secretary. Jellison is a former CFO of Dentsply International.

ViaSat Inc. has appointed Bruce Dirks to lead the finance function. He takes over from Shawn Duffy, who has been interim CFO since August and will return to her posts as chief accounting officer and corporate controller. Most recently, Dirks was a portfolio manager at Fidelity Management & Research Co.
