Technology distributor Avnet Inc. has appointed Kevin Moriarty to lead the finance function, effective January 2. He succeeds Ray Sadowski, who announced earlier in the year that he would retire. Moriarty joins the firm from Honeywell International, where he was CFO of the global aerospace unit.
Vonage Holdings CFO and chief administrative officer Barry Rowan will leave the company for the top finance spot at Cool Planet Energy Systems. The move will become effective after Vonage files its 2012 10-K in February, according to Vonage, where a search is under way for Rowan’s replacement.
William Butz has been named finance chief at Maxim Healthcare Services. Most recently, he was president of Erickson Living.
Graybar, a communications, electrical, and data-networking products distributor, has promoted Randall Harwood to head finance. He takes over from D. Beatty D’Alessandro, who is resigning at the end of the year. Harwood, whose appointment becomes effective January 1, has been at the company since 1978 and has been a member of the board since 2009. He is now district vice president for Graybar in Dallas.
Specialty-pharmaceutical firm Impax Laboratories has named Bryan Reasons to lead the finance function. Reasons, who joined the company as vice president, finance, in January, has been acting CFO since June.
Casella Waste Systems has promoted finance chief Ed Johnson to the new roles of president and chief operating officer. Ned Coletta, currently vice president of finance and investor relations, will become CFO and treasurer.
Charles Mathis has been named to the top finance spot at ScanSource Inc. He is a former CFO of Force Protection Inc.
