Doug Martin has been promoted to the top finance spot at Newell Rubbermaid. Previously, Martin, who replaces Juan Figuereo, was deputy CFO.
Professional-services company Marsh & McLennan Cos. has named J. Michael Bischoff as its next finance chief. Bischoff, who has been at the firm since 1982, had been interim CFO since March.
Pep Boys has named David Stern executive vice president – CFO. Formerly, he was CFO and chief administrative officer at A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts.
Gregg Branning has been selected to lead the finance function at polymer-products manufacturer Myers Industries Inc. He succeeds Donald Merril, who has left the firm. Previously, Branning was CFO and vice president of finance at Thomson Industries.
On Assignment Inc. has appointed Edward Pierce to head finance. Pierce had been an independent director of the staffing company’s board and chairman of its audit committee. He formerly was also president of First Acceptance Corp.
Derek Irwin has been named to the top finance spot at IntraLinks, effective September 17. He takes over from Anthony Plesner, who will remain a consultant to the company through June 2013. Most recently, Irwin was CFO of DoubleVerify; before that, he headed finance at HIT Entertainment, which was acquired by Mattel Inc. earlier this year.
David O’Toole is the new finance chief at Codexis Inc. He joins the industrial biotechnology firm from Response Genetics Inc., where he was CFO.
Tollgrade Communications Inc. has named Steven Furr to lead the finance function. Previously, he was vice president of finance at Global Integrated Security Inc.
James Westcott has been appointed CFO at Legacy Reserves GP LLC, effective on about September 24. After that time, James Lawrence, who has been interim CFO, vice president – finance, and treasurer since February, will remain at the firm as vice president – finance and treasurer. Westcott comes to the company from GSO Capital Partners LP, where he was a principal.
