Clearwater Paper Corp. has named John Hertz CFO and senior vice president, finance, effective August 6. He succeeds interim CFO Jonathan Hunter, who will return to his post as controller. Formerly, Hertz was CFO of Novellus Systems Inc.

Michael Bauer has been promoted to lead the finance function at Global Telecom & Technology Inc. Previously, he was vice president, finance, and chief accounting officer.

The board of directors of Quaker Chemical Corp. has elected Margaret Loebl as the company’s CFO and treasurer. She takes over from Mark Featherstone, who has resigned. Most recently a consultant, Loebl is a former CFO and treasurer of TechTeam Global.

Leone Patterson is the new head of finance at Transcept Pharmaceuticals Inc. She replaces Thomas Soloway, who was promoted to chief operating officer in April. Previously, she was corporate controller at Net App.

Antenna Software Inc. has named Bill Smith to lead the finance function. Most recently, he was CFO of Kayak Software Corp.

Pharmaceutical company Eisai Inc. has promoted Shaji Procida to the top finance spot. Procida, who has been at the company since 1998, had been vice president of finance.
