CFOs on the Move: Week Ending January 13

Al Drewes has been named finance chief of The Sun Products Corp. He joins the household-products provider from Pepsi Bottling Group Inc., where he also was CFO.

Discovery Communications Inc. has appointed Andrew Warren to lead the finance function, effective March 26. He takes over from Brad Singer, who had formerly said he would leave the company at the end of March. Most recently, Warren was CFO of Liz Claiborne Inc., a post he had held since 2007. Before that, he had several roles at General Electric, including CFO of the NBC Universal Television Group.

Patrick O’Leary plans to retire as head of finance at manufacturer SPX Corp. after the company’s report of its second-quarter operating results is finished. He will be replaced by Jeremy Smeltser, now CFO of SPX’s flow-technology division.

RealNetworks Inc. has announced that finance chief Michael Eggers has resigned, effective April 15. A search for his successor is under way.

Biopharmaceutical firm Geron Corp. has named Graham Cooper CFO and executive vice president, finance and business development. He was CFO and treasurer of Orexigen Therapeutics from 2006 until last year.

Elaine Kitagawa is the new head of finance at Saba Software Inc. Most recently, she was CFO and COO of Gaia Interactive.

Robert Lewey has been promoted to lead the finance function at Integrated Electrical Services Inc. He will take over from Terry Freeman when he retires on January 20. Previously, Lewey was treasurer and vice president-finance, tax.

Tronox Inc. has named Daniel Greenwell to the top finance spot. He joins the producer of titanium dioxide from Terra Industries Inc., where he also was CFO.

Controller and principal accounting officer Christine Sacco has been promoted to CFO and treasurer at Smart Balance Inc. She succeeds Alan Gever, who is leaving the company.

Denise Devoe has been promoted to head finance in the automotive group at The Herb Chambers Cos. She had been corporate controller at the car-dealership group.
