Susan McFarland has been tapped as the next CFO of Fannie Mae, effective July 11. Previously, she was principal accounting officer and executive vice president, finance, at Capital One Financial Corp.
Cargill Inc. has promoted finance chief David MacLennan to the posts of president and chief operating officer. MacLennan, who has been at the agribusiness since 1991, is succeeded by Sergio Rial, regional director for Latin America and executive chairman of subsidiary CarVal Investors.
CFO James Fernandez has been named to the newly created post of chief operating officer at Tiffany & Co. Fernandez, who has led finance since 1989, will be replaced by Patrick McGuiness, senior vice president – finance.
Chico’s FAS Inc. has named Pamela Knous executive vice president – chief financial officer and chief accounting officer. She formerly held the top finance spot at SUPERVALU Inc.
Employee-benefit services firm Delphi Financial Group has appointed Stephan Kiratsous as its first finance chief. Most recently, he was managing director and head of the insurance investment banking group – Americas at Credit Suisse.
Charles Cooley, CFO of specialty-chemicals firm The Lubrizol Corp., will retire soon after the company’s merger with Berkshire Hathaway Inc. is finalized. Brian Valentine will take over from Cooley while continuing in his role as treasurer of Lubrizol.
Asbury Automotive Group has selected Scott Krenz to head finance. He succeeds Craig Monaghan, who was promoted to president and CEO in February. Krenz joins the automotive service and retail firm from Heidrick & Struggles, where he also was CFO.
Christopher Wolf has been named to lead the finance function at First Advantage. Previously, he was CFO of Acxiom Corp.
North Jersey Community Bank has named Frank Baier to the top finance spot. He takes over from Laura Criscione, who has been promoted to chief operating officer. A former consultant to Meridian Capital Group, Baier also served in senior leadership posts at other financial institutions, including Capital Access Network and ContiFinancial Corp.
Robert Laurent Jr. has been promoted to finance chief at Environmental Tectonics Corp., effective July 8. Now controller, Laurent will replace Duane Deaner, who is retiring.
