Sears Holdings Corp. has announced that CFO Michael Collins has resigned. Controller William Phelan will succeed him as acting CFO.
Paul Tomkins has been appointed finance chief at The Reader’s Digest Association Inc. and its parent, RDA Holding Co. He takes over from Tom Williams, who was promoted to president and CEO in April. Previously, Tomkins was vice president controller at AT&T Business Solutions.

Supreme Industries Inc., a manufacturer of specialized commercial vehicles, has named Matthew Long CFO, treasurer, and assistant secretary. Previously, he was treasurer of CTS Corp.
Payment and mobile-banking provider Obopay Inc. has appointed William Scharninghausen to lead the finance function. He is a former CFO of Global IP Solutions, which Google acquired in July.
