Thomas Etergino will join TheStreet.com Inc. as CFO on September 7. He comes to the digital financial media company from eMusic.com, where he has been head of finance since 2006 and chief operating officer since 2008.
Occidental Petroleum Corp. has promoted James Lienert to the top finance spot, effective August 15. He succeeds president and chief operating officer Stephen Chazen, who has also been CFO since 1999. Lienert has been executive vice president, finance and planning, since 2006.
Law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP has named Linda Havard CFO, effective August 16. Previously, she led finance at Playboy Enterprises Inc.

William McGrath has been promoted to CFO at shopping network ShopNBC. He joined the company as vice president of quality assurance in January and was appointed interim CFO in February. Before joining the network, McGrath was vice president global sourcing operations and finance at QVC.
Magellan Petroleum Corp. has named Antoine Lafargue as its new finance chief and treasurer. He replaces Susan Filipos, who has been interim CFO since April and who will remain as company controller. Most recently, Lafargue was CFO of Falcon Gas Storage.
Tim Clayton has been appointed CFO of Sajan Inc., a language-services and translation-management software provider. He comes to the firm from management-consulting company Emerging Capital LLC, where he was the founding principal.
Biopharmaceutical-services firm Quintiles has named Kevin Gordon to head finance. He takes over from Mike Troullis, who will stay on at the company managing its investments. Previously, Gordon was CFO of Teleflex Inc.
