Gregory Kleffner has been named senior vice president, finance, and CFO at retailer Stein Mart Inc., effective August 10. Previously, he was CFO at Kellwood Co. Kleffner takes over from James Delfs, who is retiring.

Robert Farrell is the new head of finance at nonprofit pharmaceutical company Institute for OneWorld Health. He comes to OneWorld from Titan Pharmaceuticals Inc., where he was president and CFO.

El Paso Electric Co. has promoted David Carpenter to the position of senior vice president-CFO. Carpenter, who joined the company in 2005, had been vice president of regulatory services, controller, and principal financial officer.

Technology provider Alphanumeric Systems Inc. has named Jay Trepanier to the top finance spot. He is a former director of finance at Hill-Rom.

Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals Inc. has named Charles Abdalian Jr. to become vice president of finance and CFO. He comes to the company from Coley Pharmaceutical Group, where he was senior vice president and CFO.

John Porter, senior vice president of commercial space company Astrotech Corp., has been promoted to CFO. He has been interim CFO since Brian Harrington resigned in June. Before joining Astrotech in October 2008, Porter co-founded investment firm Arabella Securities.

EnerNOC Inc. has named Timothy Weller to lead the finance function. He replaces Neal Isaacson, who had been CFO since 2005 and will stay at the energy company until September 1 to aid in the transition. Previously, Weller was CFO at Akamai Technologies Inc.

Linster Fox has been appointed executive vice president and CFO at gaming-supply company Shuffle Master Inc. He comes to the firm from Cherokee International LLC, where he also served as CFO.

Cardiology instrument control system manufacturer Stereotaxis Inc. has appointed Daniel Johnston to head finance, effective November 15. He will join the company in September and will take over from James Stolze, who will retire at the end of the year. Johnston joins Stereotaxis from United Components Inc., where he is executive vice president and CFO.
