• Rite Aid Corp. promoted Kevin Twomey to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Twomey, who joined the company in 2000, had been senior vice president, chief accounting officer, and acting CFO. In addition, Doug Donley was named senior vice president and chief accounting officer. Donley was previously group vice president and corporate controller; he joined Rite Aid in 1996 as a financial analyst.
• Sun Microsystems Inc. executive vice president and chief financial officer Steve McGowan is retiring at the end of fiscal 2006. The company has launched an immediate search to replace McGowan. The 14-year Sun veteran previously served as vice president of finance, planning, and administration of Sun’s global sales operation.
• Baker Hughes Inc. announced that G. Stephen Finley, senior vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer, is retiring from the Houston-based company on March 31, 2006. Finley, who joined Baker Oil Tools in 1982 as group financial manager and later became senior vice president and chief administrative officer, was appointed CFO in 1999.
• Richard Wetzler was named to the new post of chief operating officer of Mercer Delta Consulting, effective January 1. Wetzler, who has served as chief financial officer for the last five years, previously held senior finance positions across the operating companies of Mercer Inc.
• Newspaper publisher Hollinger International Inc. named Gregory A. Stoklosa vice president and chief financial officer. Stoklosa has served as vice president of finance since March. He replaces Peter K. Lane, who will remain with Hollister until the end of the year as vice president of finance. In March the company announced Lane’s departure as a result of the transfer of the finance and accounting functions from Toronto to Chicago. Lane had been CFO since 2002.
• Integrated self-service delivery specialist Diebold Inc. named Michael R. Moore vice president and corporate controller. He previously filled this role on an interim basis.
• David W. Miles was named chief financial officer of ResCare, a provider of services to persons with developmental and other disabilities. Miles has been with the Louisville, Kentucky-based company since 1998 and served as vice president and controller until he took over as interim CFO in February.
• WebMethods Inc., a provider of business integration and optimization software, tapped Mark Wabschall as chief financial officer. Wabschall, who will continue in his roles as senior vice president and chief accounting officer, joined the company in July 2004.
