— John Calonico was hired to head up the finance department at iManage Inc., a maker of content management software. Calonico most recently served as CFO at Blue Martini Software Inc., a customer relationship management software specialist which reported a pro forma net loss of $46 million in 2001. While at Blue Martini, Calonico helped manage the company’s initial public offering. Robert Cell, Blue Martini’s current vice president of corporate development, has been tabbed to replace Calonico.
Prior to his stint at Blue Martini, Calonico served as CFO at Internet services provider GlobalCenter Inc., which is a subsidiary of Global Crossing Ltd. He began his career at Ernst & Young.
— Santa Ana, Calif.-based PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. has named Michael Henderson senior vice president of finance. Before joining the health services company, Henderson served as CFO at Presbyterian Health Plan of New Mexico,. In his new role, Henderson will oversee financial planning and analysis, including forecasting and budgeting, and health-care cost trends analysis.
Prior to his work at Presbyterian Health Plan of New Mexico, Henderson spent close to 20 years at Prudential HealthCare Group, serving in various executive roles, including national vice president (finance). Before his tenure at Prudential, the 51-year-old executive was the CFO of The Oakmark Corp.
Henderson holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
— John Fitzgerald has been promoted from corporate controller to CFO of BakBone Software, a storage management software provider located in San Diego.
Prior to signing on with BakBone, Fitzgerald served as a consultant for a number of technology start-up companies and specialized in strategic and operational issues, IPO work, and strategic planning. Fitzgerald, who is a C.P.A., began his career at Arthur Andersen. He has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Diego State University.
