- “I’d Rather Be Golfing:” Darl Hatfield will step down as VP and CFO of Adams Golf at the end of the year for health reasons. Former InterWorld Corp. CFO Russell Fleischer will succeed him. Hatfield, who made $197,000 last year, will stay on as part-time consultant at the Plano, Tex.-based firm.
- A Qwest for More: Broadband Internet and Web services company Convergent Communications Inc. named Ernest J. Sampias as EVP, CFO, and treasurer. The former CFO of Qwest Dex Inc. replaces Brian Ervine, who left the Englewood, Colo.-based company to pursue other opportunities.
- Package Deal: Along with its appointment of Ronald M. Letterman as CEO and president, Global Vacation Group named Debbie A. Linquist its new CFO. Linquist was previously VP and controller of the company’s Custom Vacation brand. She replaces Jay Stuart, who resigned from the Washington, D.C.-based vacation-package provider.
- Bench-Marking at Caldera: Orem, Utah-based Linux-software maker Caldera Systems Inc. named Robert Bench to the CFO post. The former president and CFO of WebMiles.com Inc. succeeds Alan Hansen, who resigned to join a local software company.
- Digital Biometrics has Robert Gallagher‘s prints. Gallagher’s been named CFO of the Minnetonka, Minn.-based maker of computer-based fingerprinting systems. Gallagher joins Digital Biometrics from TSI Inc., where he was CFO.
