- DUSA Pharmaceuticals Inc. hopes its new CFO John Mattern will keep it healthy. The Wilmington, Mass.-based biopharmaceutical company promoted Mattern from VP of finance. The CFO duties were previously performed by president and CEO D. Geoffrey Shulman.
- Richard A. Heddleson is putting on his red and blue glasses as he steps into the top finance role at 3dfx Interacive Inc., a San Jose, Calif.-based maker of video graphics-enhancing technology. The former Evoke Software CFO succeeds David Zacarias, who is leaving to purse other interests. Zacarias made $253, 051 last year.
- Michael F. Henn is moving on up to a deluxe apartment in the sky. The former CFO of residential builder Kaufman and Broad Home Corp. was appointed president of Irvine, Calif.-based The Meyers Group, a consulting firm for the residential- development industry.
- Release the Hounds: Robert McKenzie was named CFO of application service provider Bloodhound Software Inc. McKenzie, Previously CFO of Teksell.com Inc., is Bloodhound’s first CFO.
- Rest Assured: Christopher D. Kaine was named CFO of application service provider AssureNet Ltd. Kaine previously provided financial advisory services to early- stage tech companies.
- Xceeding Expectations: Douglas C. Laux is the new finance chief of New York- based Internet-consultancy Xceed Inc. He joins Xceed from online liquor store Drinks.com, where he was CFO.
