Keith Sherin, who has been CFO of General Electric since 1998, has been named chairman and CEO of GE Capital, effective July 1. In his new role, Sherin replaces Mike Neal, who is retiring. Jeff Bronstein, who heads finance at GE Capital, will take over for Sherin as CFO of GE.
Paulo Basilio has been appointed finance chief of H.J. Heinz Co. He had been a partner at 3G Capital, which, together with Berkshire Hathaway Inc., recently acquired Heinz.
Diamond Foods Inc. has named Raymond Silcock to the top finance spot. He takes over from Michael Murphy, who had been interim CFO since February 2012. Previously, Silcock led the finance function at The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., UST Inc., Swift & Co. and Cott Corp.
Brian McDonald has been appointed finance chief at Meru Networks Inc. He replaces Brett White, who has resigned but will remain with the firm through July 1 to aid in the transition. McDonald has been CFO at several other firms, including Advanced Analogic Technologies and Monolithic Power Systems.
Spectrum Pharmaceuticals has named Kurt Gustafson CFO and principal accounting officer. He succeeds Brett Scott, previously acting CFO and principal accounting officer, who will become senior vice president of finance. Most recently, Gustafson headed finance at Halozyme Therapeutics Inc.; before that, he held various positions at Amgen, including CFO of Amgen International and vice president, finance.
Kenneth Hager, CFO and treasurer of information-processing solutions company DST Systems Inc., plans to retire after 29 years at the firm. A search for his successor is under way.
Predictive-analytics company DriveCam Inc. has named Paul Pucino to lead the finance function. He replaces William Ruff, who will become senior vice president, finance. Pucino is a former CFO of THQ Inc., Classmates Media Corp. and Digital Insight.
John Bakewell is the new finance chief at Interline Brands Inc. He joins the company from RegionalCare Hospital Partners, where he was also CFO.
CFO Laura Fournier has retired from Compuware Corp. Joseph Angileri, president and chief operating officer, will lead the finance function.
Marine-transportation services provider GulfMark Offshore Inc. has appointed James Mitchell to the top finance spot. He takes over for Quintin Kneen, who has become president and CEO. Most recently, Mitchell was CEO of Flex Energy; before that, he was CFO of T-3 Energy Services.
