Kevin Klotzbach is adding to his responsibilities as treasurer of Financial Institutions Inc.: he has also been named CFO, effective immediately. He takes over from Karl Krebs, who has headed finance since 2009.

Jeffrey Siegal has been named to lead the finance function at Key Technology Inc., a designer and manufacturer of process-automation systems. Most recently, he was CFO and treasurer at Schmitt Industries Inc.
Education Management Corp. has selected Mick Beekhuizen as its next finance chief. Previously, he was a managing director in the merchant banking division of Goldman Sachs.
Network-security appliance provider Fortinet Inc. has appointed Ahmed Rubaie CFO as chief operating officer. Formerly, he led the finance function at Ariba Inc.
CTPartners Executive Search Inc. has chosen William Keneally to head finance. In his new role, he takes over from CFO and chief operating officer David Nocifora, who will remain COO. Previously, Keneally was CFO of Gullivers Travelers Associates by Travelport.
Brian Cooper has been named to the top finance spot at Federal Signal Corp., effective May 28. He succeeds Braden Waverley, who has been interim CFO since October. Most recently, Cooper was finance chief at Westell Technologies Inc.
