Christopher Hix will become finance chief of chemical firm OM Group, effective January 3. He replaces Kenneth Haber, who had announced he would retire at the end of the year. Previously, Hix was CFO at Robbins & Myers Inc.

Cloud-computing company Rackspace Hosting has promoted Karl Pichler to the posts of CFO and principal financial officer. Pichler, who has been at the firm since 2005, has been acting CFO, treasurer, and principal financial officer since April.

Ian Dinwiddie has been named Global CFO at law firm Baker & McKenzie. He joins the firm this month and will begin his new role on January 1, following the retirement of Robert Spencer. Dinwiddie is a former finance director of Allen & Overy.

Energy technology and services firm The Babcock & Wilcox Co. has appointed Anthony Colatrella to the top finance spot. He succeeds Michael Taff, who has resigned. Previously, Colatrella was CFO of Momentive Performance Materials.

Finance chief Henry Lyons has resigned from online-trading-services provider Gain Capital Holdings Inc. Chief accounting officer and controller Daryl Carlough has been named interim CFO until a permanent replacement for Lyons is found.

John Bailey has resigned as CFO, treasurer, secretary, and vice president, finance, of CareView Communications Inc. Anthony Piccin, controller at the IT provider, will take over from Bailey in those positions.

Real estate investment and advisory firm Newcastle Ltd. has named Kent Swanson as its new finance chief. Previously, he was CFO and principal of The John Buck Co.

Northern Oil and Gas Inc. has appointed Thomas Stoelk to the top finance spot, effective December 12. He succeeds Chad Winter, who will become vice president of finance. Stoelk is a former CFO of Superior Well Services Inc. and of Great Lakes Energy Partners LLC.

Thomas Shields has resigned as CFO, COO, and secretary of circuit maker Anadigics Inc. The company has promoted controller and vice president, finance, Terrence Gallagher to take over as finance chief.

Industrial Services of America Inc. has named Robert Coleman to lead the finance function. He is a former controller and interim CFO of Healthland Inc.
