CFOs on the Move: Week Ending November 11

Echelon Corp. has named Bill Slakey to the top finance spot. He replaces Oliver Stanfield, who is retiring but will remain at the energy control networking firm to aid in the transition. Previously, Slakey was CFO of several public and private companies, including Handspring Inc., Extreme Networks, and LiveOps.

Global-logistics and transportation firm YRC Worldwide Inc. has appointed Jamie Pierson to lead the finance function. Pierson has been interim CFO since August; before that, he was a managing director at Alvarez & Marsal North America LLC.

PwC US has named Lisa Pavelka McAlister managing director of the U.S. Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services Group. She is a former CFO and COO of global private equity at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Bill Schumann will leave his post as finance chief of FMC Technologies Inc. on November 30, but will stay on at the company until his retirement in August 2012. Effective December 1, he will be replaced by Maryann Seaman, now treasurer and deputy CFO.

Wood building-materials manufacturer Louisiana-Pacific Corp. has named Sallie Bailey to lead the finance function, effective December 5. She takes over from Curt Stevens, who will become chief operating officer on an interim basis. Previously, Bailey was CFO of Ferro Corp. and controller and senior vice president, finance, of Timken Corp.

J. Michael Anderson, head of finance at Exterran Holdings Inc., will add to his responsibilities when he becomes CFO of Exterran Partners LP, effective November 16. He succeeds Michael Aaronson, who is leaving the compression-equipment operator after it files its 10-Q for the third quarter.

National American University Holdings Inc. has promoted Venessa Green to the top finance spot. She has been CFO of National American University, which National American University Holdings operates, since April 2010.

Gregory Walker is the new CFO and vice president of finance at PDF Solutions Inc. He is a former CFO of InnoPath Software and of Magma Design Automation Inc.

Marketing company Lyris Inc. has named Deborah Eudaley to head finance. Previously, she was CFO of Cloudmark.
