CFOs on the Move: Week Ending September 30

Thomson Reuters has announced that Robert Daleo, who has been CFO since 1998, plans to retire in July. Stephane Bello, finance chief of the company’s professional division, will replace him on January 1, and Daleo will become vice chairman of the company until his retires.

Christine Komola

has been promoted to the top finance spot at Staples Inc., effective February 1. Komola, who joined the company in 1997, is currently corporate controller.

Dinyar Mistry,

controller of Pacific Gas & Electric Co. and its parent, PG&E Corp., has been named to the additional post of CFO of Pacific Gas & Electric Co. He succeeds Sara Cherry, who is taking a leave of absence.

Voice-communication systems provider Vocera Communications Inc. has appointed William Zerella to head finance. He takes over from Martin Silver, who is leaving the post for medical reasons. Most recently, Zerella was CFO and vice president-finance and administration at Force 10 Networks.

J. Michael Dodson

has resigned as finance chief of electronics manufacturer DDi Corp., effective October 4. Chief accounting officer Wayne Slomsky has been named interim CFO until a permanent replacement for Dodson is found.

Mattson Technology

Inc. has named J. Michael Dodson to the top finance spot, effective October 11. He succeeds Andrew Moring, who is stepping down as CFO but will stay on at the company through the end of the year. Dodson currently heads finance at DDi Corp. (see item above).

Mineral-exploration firm Atna Resources Ltd. has appointed Rod Gloss to lead the finance function. Previously, he was corporate controller at Alacer Gold and CFO, controller, and director of treasury at Timminco Ltd.

Rick Jones

has been promoted to finance chief at Mechanical Technology Inc. He has been at the company since 1993, and has been corporate secretary and acting CFO since June 2009.

Swiss food giant Nestle SA has named Wan Ling Martello as CFO, effective April 1. She is currently EVP of global e-commerce and emerging markets at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Martello will succeed James Singh, who is retiring.

John T. Hanson has been named finance chief of communications technology company Dialogic Inc. He replaces acting CFO Jean Gagnon. Previously, Hanson was CFO of One Communications Corp.
