Landscape-maintenance equipment provider The Toro Co. has named Renee Peterson CFO and vice president, finance, effective August 22. She takes over from Stephen Wolfe, who is retiring. Previously, Peterson was vice president, finance and planning, for the automotive and truck divisions of Eaton Corp.


Finance chief David Kelsey is leaving Sealed Air Corp. for an opportunity in the Midwest. A search for Kelsey’s replacement is under way; in the meantime, treasurer Tod Christie will add to his responsibilities as interim CFO at the packaging manufacturer.

Columbus McKinnon Corp., which designs and manufactures hoists, cranes, and other material-handling products, has named CFO and vice president-finance Karen Howard to the new post of vice president, strategic initiatives. She will be succeeded by Gregory Rustowicz, a former group CFO at PPG Industries Inc.


Rob Krolik has been appointed to the top finance spot at search site Yelp Inc. He joins the company from Move Inc., where he also headed finance.


Online restaurant-reservation provider OpenTable Inc. has tapped I. Duncan Robertson to lead the finance function, effective August 23. Most recently, he was CFO of SnapStick Inc., which he also co-founded.


Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. has named Martin McDermut CFO and senior vice president, finance. He takes over from Rich Yonker, who had been CFO since 2006. McDermut is the former managing director of consultancy Avant Advisory Group; he also is a former CFO of Superconductor Technologies Inc. and of Iris International Inc.


David Huls has been selected as finance chief of American Commercial Lines Inc., a marine transportation–service firm, effective August 29. Previously, he was president and CFO of PBH Marine Group LLC.


Head of finance Bob Vincent will take on the newly created post of senior vice president of corporate strategy at restaurant operator Ruth’s Hospitality Group. He will be replaced by Arne Haak, former CFO of AirTran Airways.


Information-technology-services firm Analysts International Corp. has named William Wolff to lead the finance function. He joins the company from TeamKLIPZ, where he was CEO and CFO.


AMAG Pharmaceuticals Inc., a biopharmaceuticals company, has named Frank Thomas to the top finance spot. Previously, he was CFO and COO of Molecular Biometrics.
