CFOs on the Move: Week Ending July 30

United Airlines parent company UAL Corp. has announced that CFO Kathryn Mikells will leave the airline after its merger with Continental Airlines is finalized. Continental CFO Zane Rowe will become head of finance of the combined company.

Supervalu Inc. finance chief Pamela Knous has resigned from the grocery retailer, effective July 30. A search is under way for her successor; in the meantime, Sherry Smith, senior vice president, finance, will take on the role of interim CFO.

Steven Douglas has been named CFO/director of accounting and finance at real estate investment trust General Growth Properties Inc. He replaces Ed Hoyt, who has served as interim CFO since 2008 and who will remain at the company as chief accounting officer. Previously, Douglas was president of Brookfield Properties Corp.

Sustainable chemistry firm Modular Genetics Inc. has named Joseph Grimm to the top finance spot. He is a former CFO of Prospect Therapeutics, which he also co-founded.

Comstock Homebuilding Cos. has announced that finance chief Jeffrey Dauer has submitted his resignation, which will take effect on August 31. The company is currently searching for his replacement.
