Viacom Inc. CFO Thomas Dooley has been promoted to chief operating officer, a newly created post. Dooley, who will continue as CFO until his replacement is found, also served as chief administrative officer at the entertainment company.

Online travel company Orbitz Worldwide Inc. has announced that finance chief Marsha Williams plans to retire. She will remain at the firm through the end of the year and will help it search for her successor.

Brian Helman, CFO of technology-based language-learning provider Rosetta Stone Inc., plans to resign in August and return to Florida. He has been at the company since 2007.

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. has promoted Spencer Schwartz to lead the finance function. He takes over from Jason Grant, who has accepted a position at another company. Schwartz has been controller at AAWW since 2008.

Test-preparation provider The Princeton Review Inc. has appointed Christian Kasper to the top finance spot, effective August 16. He replaces Stephen Richards, who will retire this month but will serve as a consultant for the rest of the year. Most recently, Kasper was director at AlixPartners LLP.

Software company Spigit has named Mark Tisdel as its first CFO. He comes to the company from Model N, where he also was head of finance.

Energy Partners Ltd. has promoted Tiffany Thom finance chief. Thom, who joined the company in 2000, will continue to serve in her current role of treasurer.

Stephen Recht is the new CFO at Delivery Agent Inc., a provider of shopping-enabled programming. Previously, he was CFO of Glam Media Inc.

Miami Jewish Health Systems has appointed Lisa Jo Desmarteau to lead the finance function. She is a former CFO of Joseph L. Morse Geriatric Center.

Action sports-inspired products company Heelys Inc. has named Craig Storey to be its new chief financial officer and chief operating officer. He joins the company from Sprig Toys, where he was CEO and CFO.
