Following the sale of biotechnology company Genentech Inc. to its majority owner, Swiss pharmaceuticals company Roche, David Ebersman, CFO and executive vice president of Genentech, will be leaving the company, effective May 1. He will be replaced by Steve Krognes, currently head of Roche corporate business development.
The Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corp. (Farmer Mac) has appointed Timothy Buzby as CFO. He succeeds William Sandalls, who had been acting finance chief since October 2008. Buzby has been controller of the company since June 2003 and acting treasurer since October 2008. Before joining Farmer Mac, he was CFO of regional residential mortgage lender George Mason Mortgage Corp.
A.J. Cederoth will continue to handle day-to-day accounting and financial responsibilities at holding company Navistar International Corp. following the death of its CFO, Terry Endsley. Prior to taking on these duties at the beginning of the year, Cederoth was vice president of finance at the company’s engine group. Endsley, who passed away at age 53 from cancer, had been with Navistar since 1977.
Michael Pietrini has been named CFO and executive vice president, finance and administration at Epicor Software Corp. Pietrini has been with Epicor, a provider of enterprise business software solutions, for 14 years. He most recently served as senior vice president of sales and operations for the Americas.
Medquist Inc., a medical-transcription services provider, has named Dominick Golio as its new finance chief. He comes to Medquist from D & M Holdings NA, where he was North America CFO.

Empire Resorts Inc. announced that CFO Ronald Radcliffe has submitted his resignation, to be effective June 30. The company operates the Monticello Gaming & Raceway in Monticello, New York, and is moving its headquarters from Las Vegas to New York.
