After spending only three weeks at her last job, Eileen Kamerick has signed on with commercial roofing company Tecta America as executive vice president and CFO.
On May 13, Kamerick accepted the CFO position at consultancy BearingPoint, replacing Judy Ethell. But by June 2, Kamerick resigned “based on her discussions with the audit committee of the company’s board of directors,” according to a BearingPoint regulatory filing.
That wasn’t the first time a CFO had left BearingPoint after a short tenure. In May 2005, Joseph Corbett lasted just four months before resigning from the post.
Before joining BearingPoint, Kamerick spent four years with executive-search firm Heidrick & Struggles. Before that, she served as executive vice president and CFO for Bcom3 Group, a company that specializes in advertising and marketing services.
In a press release announcing her appointment, Mark Santacrose, president and CEO of Skokie, Illinois-based Tecta, touted Kamerick’s expertise in mergers and acquisitions and in regulatory compliance, as well as her solid banking relationships. “Eileen brings significant expertise in developing an organization to support profitable growth initiatives,” he said. The release did not mention her aborted stint at BearingPoint.
