• Joseph Busky has been appointed CFO of InnerWorkings Inc., a global provider of managed print and promotional solutions. He replaces Nick Galassi, who left the company to pursue other options. Busky was most recently corporate vice president and chief accounting officer at Dade Behring.
• GoldenTree InSite Partners has hired a former Morgan Stanley executive as its finance chief. Grace Cheng had been executive director of the investment bank’s private equity real estate fund. In her new role she’ll be responsible for Golden Tree’s financial activities, including fund management, accounting, tax, and financial planning and control.
• Smith & Wesson Holding Corp., parent of the world’s largest gun manufacturer, has promoted its CFO John Kelly to the newly created position of vice president of financial planning and control. The new CFO is William Spengler, who had been CFO and executive vice president at MGI Pharma Inc.
• Mark Faurie has been appointed CFO of the industrial mobile robot provider Seegrid Corp. Faurie has 15 years in corporate accounting, income tax, treasury and administrative management. Most recently he was CFO of Solar Power Industries.
• Cable TV and Internet services provider Charter Communications has made its interim CFO Eloise Schmitz permanent in the role, starting July 1. Schmitz took over in April for Jeffrey Fisher, who resigned. She has been with the company since 1998.
• Brian Knepp will oversee finances at the Jersey Shore State Bank. Knepp has served as vice president of finance and principal financial officer at Jersey Shore, a subsidiary of Penns Woods Bancorp, for the past three years.
• UST Global announced that Krishna Sudheendra is its new CFO. Sudheendra was most recently director of finance at the IT services provider. Before that he was global controller of First Apex, an IT product and services provider for the insurance industry.
• Joe Arroyo has been appointed CFO of CIT Vendor Finance, a division of the global commercial finance company CIT Group. Arroyo moves over from Volvo Financial Services, where he was CFO North America. He also held numerous executive positions at GE Corporate Financial Services, including CFO and controller of GE Capital Commercial Services.
• Rentech Inc., which turns oil byproducts into diesel and other fuels, announced that its finance chief Merrick Kerr will resign on July 18. Kerr’s finance duties will be assumed by chief operating officer Douglas Miller, while senior vice president of operations Josh Diesch will oversee the company’s operating asset management.
• Interactive mobile marketing company Vibes Media has appointed Charley Cassell as its CFO. Cassell had been CFO of Internet company FeedBurner, which was recently acquired by Google, a transaction he oversaw. Previously he was senior director of business operations for the communications products business unit at Yahoo!
• Elie Farah, CFO for the biopharmaceutical company Transition Therapeutics Inc., has been named to the additional post of president. Farah has been with Transition since 2005. The company also appointed Nicole Rusaw-George vice president of finance.
