CFO and CEO resign amid reorganization

  • Some former officers Inc. are looking for new places to dwell. The online real-estate company said CFO Dennis P. Gauger resigned, along with CEO John Giaimo and board member Bradley N. Rotter. According to a company statement, these changes are part of’s “ongoing reorganization.”

    The company is also reevaluating and possibly eliminating business lines, and considering acquisitions of other companies. In the quest for profitability, “we intend to make more changes,” says chairman Joseph Harker. The company went public last fall. Its stock is currently $.30.

  • Managers at Chicago-based NovaMed Eyecare Inc. have their eyes out for a new finance chief. Ronald G. Eidell resigned as executive VP, CFO, and secretary to pursue other opportunities. Eidell is credited with leading the eye-care chain through its 1999 initial public offering.
  • VSK Photonics Inc. is taking a hard look at John Creelman. The Lake Forest, Calif.-based supplier of optical components for fiber-optics tapped Creelman to the posts of CFO and VP of finance. Creelman joins VSK from Copper Mountian Networks Inc., where he held the same titles. The venture-backed company also announced a $6 million lease line from Lighthouse Capital Partners.
  • Medical-products maker Quidel Corp. named Paul Landers VP and CFO. Landers replaces Charles Cashion, who resigned earlier this year. Landers joins Quidel from International Isotopes Inc., where he was CFO.
