Arnold Worldwide names a new finance chief. StaffJune 25, 2001
  • Advertising agency Arnold Worldwide promoted VP of finance Ed Davis to the posts of EVP and CFO of the firm’s Boston headquarters. Davis joined the firm six months ago from failed Internet firm Zentropy Partners Inc.. He succeeds Charles Kiefer, who joined Arnold in 1992 when the agency acquired Boston’s Cabot Communucations. Kiefer will remain affiliated with Arnold and consult with agency CEO Ed Eskandarian on tax issues, acquisitions and related financial matters. Davis reports to Joe Pessolano, EVP and CFO of Arnold’s worldwide agency, which is a member of the ad group Havas Advertising.
  • Uninstall This Program: Software developer Electronic Arts Inc. said that CFO Stan McKee will retire when the company’s fiscal year ends March 31, 2002. McKee has been with the Redwood City, Calif.-based firm for 12 years. The company said he will help with the search for his successor.
  • The Net Effect: Network Equipment Technologies Inc., also known as, named CFO John Batty to the post of COO. He will continue as finance chief. Before joining the Fremont, Calif.- based networking firm as CFO in 1999, Batty was VP and CFO of Verilink Inc.
  • Fit to Print: Online printing-technology developer IPrint Technologies Inc. announced merger plans with privately held Wood Associates (Wood Alliance Inc.), a supplier of custom promotional items. The Menlo Park, Calif.-based IPrint said CFO Robyn Cerrutti would be CFO of the merged firm.
