‘Cause He’s the Tax Man…

The IRS names a new CFO, along with Credence Systems, MedImmune, and CTI Group.

  • Government Veterans: The Internal Revenue Service has chosen W. Todd Grams as its new CFO. He will replace current CFO Lawrence W. Rogers, who is retiring. Grams is acting CFO of the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has also been CFO of the Veterans Health Administration.
  • Passing the Test: John Detwiler was promoted to the CFO post of testing equipment maker Credence Systems Corp. He was formerly the Fremont, Calif.-based firm’s VP, corporate controller, and interim CFO. The company promoted Catherine Hearn to replace Detwiler as controller.
  • Group Hug for Manfred Hanuschek: He was appointed group CFO of CTI Group Holdings Inc., a holding company for telecommunications management. Hanuschek join the Valley Forge, Pa.- based firm from IGI Inc., where he was SVP and CFO.
  • A Healthy Change: Gaithersburg, Md.-based biotech firm MedImmune Inc. named Gregory Patrick as SVP and CFO. Patrick joins MedImmune from Ventive Helath Inc., a sales-and- marketing firm to the pharmaceutical industry. He was also previously an executive of drug giant Merck & Co. At Ventiv, VP and corporate controller Joseph Durko will serve as interim CFO as the company searches for Patrick’s replacement.
