- It’s in the Bag: Internet grocer Peapod Inc. announced that Andrew Parkinson, founder of the company, will become its CFO, effective January 19. He will be taking over from CFO Dan Rabinowitz, who will be leaving the Skokie, Ill.-based firm to pursue other opportunities. In 1999, Rabinowitz made $139,000 in salary and bonus.
- Time to Refuel:
McDermott International Inc., a New Orleans-based energy services provider, announced that CFO and SVP Daniel Gaubert will retire from the company, effective Jan 31. Gaubert will be replaced by Bruce Longaker, Jr. who will serve as the company’s CFO and executive VP. Longaker joins McDermott from Houston- based Weatherford International Inc. where he was executive VP and president of Weatherford Global Compression Services, a provider of drilling equipment and services. Gaubert, who has been with the company nearly 30 years, will serve as a consultant to McDermott.
- Picture perfect:
StereoGraphics Corp., a supplier of stereoscopic visualization products, announced the appointment of Wendy McCollom to the CFO post. Prior to joining San Rafael, Calif.- based StereoGraphics, McCollom was director of finance and administration of Advantage Enterprises, a laser printer management company.
- Love, Hugs and Appointments:
XO Communications, a Reston, Va.-based provider of broadband communications services, named Dominic Crolla as CFO of XO Europe. Crolla joins XO Europe from London- based telecommunications holding company, Cable & Wireless Global Network, where he served as finance director since 1991.
