The Madison Square Garden Co. has named Bret Richter to lead the finance function of its media spin-off, MSG Networks, once the transaction has been finalized, which is expected by the end of the month. He comes to the new company from Cablevision Systems, where he was executive vice president of corporate finance and development.
Simon Leopold will become finance chief of shopping-center real estate investment trust Taubman Centers on Jan. 1. He succeeds Lisa Payne, who will remain vice chairman of the board until she leaves the firm in March. Leopold is currently treasurer and executive vice president, capital markets.
The Hain Celestial Group has promoted Pasquale Conte to the top finance spot, taking over for Stephen Smith. Conte joined the parent company of Celestial Seasonings in 2009 and was appointed treasurer and senior vice president, finance, last year.
Cvent has named Cynthia Russo to head finance, effective Sept. 28. She comes to the cloud-based enterprise event-management platform from MICROS Systems, where she also led the finance function.
Online trading services provider GAIN Capital Holdings has promoted Nigel Rose to the top finance spot, effective Oct. 1. He replaces Jason Emerson, who is leaving the company. Rose is currently the firm’s group finance director, as well as CFO of City Index Holdings, which GAIN acquired in April.
API Technologies has named Eric Seeton finance chief, succeeding Claudio Mannarino. Most recently, Seeton worked at Analog Devices, where he was business unit finance director.
Consultancy GlobalLogic has chosen Doug Ahrens to lead the finance function. Most recently, he held the top finance spot at AppliedMicro.
Anthony Genito has been named to head finance at Exide Technologies. Previously, he was CFO at Spectrum Brands Holding.
Ernest Freedman has been appointed to the top finance spot at Invitation Homes, a division of Blackstone Group. Freedman, who takes over for John Schissel, had held the same post at real estate investment trust Apartment Investment and Management.
Cybersecurity firm FireEye has named Michael Berry finance chief. He replaces interim CFO Frank Verdecanna, who will remain vice president of finance. Formerly, Berry led the finance function at Informatica.
