Michael Newman has been named to lead the finance function at Novatel Wireless, succeeding interim CFO Tom Allen. Newman is a former CFO of Websense.

Finance chief David Tacka plans to retire from The Hershey Co. at the end of the year. A search is under way for a replacement for Tacka, who has been at the company for 40 years and was named CFO last year.

Benefits administrator WageWorks has named Colm Callan to the top finance spot. He joins the company from PayPal, where he headed finance for the product and technology division.

Mercury Systems has promoted Gerald Haines II to the posts of CFO and treasurer, replacing Kevin Bisson. Previously, Haines was senior vice president of corporate development at the sensor-processing subsystems provider.

Satellite-imagery provider DigitalGlobe has appointed Fred Graffam interim CFO. He succeeds Yancey Spruill, who said in May that he was leaving the company. Graffam had been DigitalGlobe’s vice president of financial planning & analysis.

Andrew Jeanneret has been promoted to the top finance spot at Millennial Media. He had been chief accounting officer since 2011.

Holding entity Advanced Emissions Solutions has named L. Heath Sampson to head finance. He takes over from Mark McKinnies, who is retiring. Most recently, Sampson led the finance function at Square Two Financial.

Bill Camp plans to resign as finance chief at Washington Real Estate Investment Trust. But the company expects that he will remain at the firm through the February year-end reporting period.

Protective-materials manufacturer Chase Corp. has promoted director of finance Kenneth Feroldi to the positions of CFO and treasurer. Previously, he was CFO, vice president – finance and treasurer of Neptco when it was acquired by Chase in 2012.
