Patraic Reagan was appointed finance chief of product design and technology company SharkNinja, effective April 22. Reagan was most recently chief financial officer of Nike’s Asia, Pacific, and Latin America segment. Over his 13-year career at Nike, he also was the global vice president of business planning and was the CFO of its direct-to-consumer business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Before Nike, Reagan held financial positions of increasing responsibility at Coach (now Tapestry), Polo Ralph Lauren, Kraft Foods, and Chiquita Brands International. Reagan replaces Larry Flynn, who has been interim chief financial officer since June 2023, will continue in his role as chief accounting officer.
Ravi Thanawala | Papa Johns
Papa Johns’ finance chief Ravi Thanawala was named interim chief executive officer of the pizza chain. Thanawala joined the company as CFO in July 2023 from Nike, where he was CFO of Nike North America, the footwear and apparel maker’s largest division, generating approximately $20 billion in annual revenue. During his seven years at Nike, he was also the Converse brand's global vice president and CFO. He earlier spent eight years at Ann, the parent company of women’s retailer Ann Taylor, in finance and operations roles. Thanawala takes over for president and chief executive officer Rob Lynch, who is leaving the company to become CEO of the fast-casual burger chain Shake Shack.
Daniel Moore | GameStop
GameStop’s interim principal financial officer, Daniel Moore, will take over the role permanently on March 25. Moore, who became interim CFO of the video game retailer in August 2023, will also continue in his role as principal accounting officer. He joined the company in 2021 from fabric maker Elevate Textiles, where he was vice president of tax. Before that, he spent nine years at technology company Roper Technologies, where he was director of international tax. Moore replaced CFO Diana Saadeh-Jajeh, who stepped down after about a year in the role. Saadeh-Jajeh was the third person to hold the CFO role in the last two years at the company.
Michael Herring | Viz.ai
Michael Herring was named chief financial officer of Viz.ai, an AI-powered disease detection and intelligent care solution. Herring was most recently CFO of health technology company Color Health, where he led the financial infrastructure and operations teams to support the company’s growth during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous roles included business finance officer at Google for the Android, Play, and Chrome product line; president and CFO at Pandora Media; global operations lead at Adobe; and CFO at Omniture and Ancestry.com, where he helped establish business models that scaled to over $1 billion in revenue.
Johan Malmqvist | Lilium
Johan Malmqvist was named finance chief of Lilium, the developer of an all-electric vertical take-off and landing jet. Malmqvist was previously CFO of electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar Automotive Holding, where he played a pivotal role in navigating it through its U.S. public listing. Before Polestar, he worked for over seven years as CFO at Dole Food Company, a global distributor and marketer of fresh fruits and vegetables. At Dole, Malmqvist played a critical role in the company’s merger with Total Produce and its reemergence as a public company. Malmqvist succeeds Oliver Vogelgesang, who has worked at Lilium since 2021 when he joined as senior vice president of finance and controlling.
Antonio Martino | PayZen
Health care-focused fintech company PayZen hired Antonio Martino as its new chief financial officer. Before joining PayZen, Martino was CFO of banking firm Silvergate Capital, where he executed its initial public offering. He was previously CFO of LendingPoint, an early-stage consumer lending and point-of-sale fintech platform. Martino started his career at Ernst & Young and spent seventeen years working at Citibank, holding a series of senior finance and CFO positions spanning across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Allison Sheehan | RavenTek
RavenTek promoted Allison Sheehan to finance chief of the digital transformation and cybersecurity solutions provider. Sheehan, who joined RavenTek in 2016 as financial controller and one of the company’s first team members, was most recently director of finance for the company. Previous roles include director of finance at Command Systems, finance manager at DSCI, and finance manager at Mission1st Group.
Adrian Reese | Genius Group
AI education marketplace Genius Group hired Adrian Reese as chief financial officer. Reese joins the company from wealth and alternatives manager AlTi Tiedemann Global, where he was global head of FP&A and CFO of asset management. While at AlTi Tiedemann Global, he led its IPO listing and the merger of three private companies. Reese previously held senior financial management positions at Morgan Stanley for over 15 years, including roles such as chief financial officer of APAC investment banking and international wealth management, and head of corporate FP&A management reporting, governance, and control.
Jay Rooney | Rave Restaurant Group
Rave Restaurant Group, which is the parent company of Pizza Inn and Pie Five, has hired Jay Rooney as its new CFO. Rooney joins the group, along with five other executives who have been added to its leadership team. Previously, Rooney served as finance chief for Dickey’s Barbeque, which he held for six years.
