Abstract:
Ideally, these systems also serve as a critical information repository for other talent-related information employee skills and training history, languages and nationality, tenure and employment background, history of roles and positions, and even performance reviews and potential. In the 1970s and 1980s, these systems were built on mainframe computers and were often integrated into company financial systems. In those days, the HRMS was very much a back-office system, used primarily by HR administrators and payroll specialists to maintain critical information about employees.
