Communication And Information: The Key To A Borrower's Credibility With Its Lender

- Abstract:
-
In this environment, borrowers and lenders often experience the following pattern: as a borrower's performance begins to slide, the relationship between borrower and lender often becomes strained. While this is a familiar pattern, it is not inevitable; in anticipation of tough times, both borrower and lender can take steps that will enable the borrower to maintain credibility and perpetuate trust between them. A turnaround consultant can be a valuable catalyst and middleman in getting communication flowing and providing information where one or both parties are incapable of doing so. Time and time again, effective communication and information flow, practiced on a consistent basis, have enabled borrowers and lenders to stay calm and make objective decisions that resulted in beneficial outcomes for both sides.
