Abstract:

Much has been talked about the pace of change in business environment across the globe. Current turbulence in the economy has only made it worst. Prior to the recession in 2008-09, companies had been growing at a rapid pace - thanks to globalization, high rate of technology adoption, horizontal and vertical expansions by businesses as well as mergers and acquisitions. However, today expansion plans for many organizations have come to grinding halt, and organizations are forced to rethink strategy much more frequently than they would like to and thus we see a shift in the focus by businesses towards excellence in management process.
