-
With economic expansion now at the center of many strategy discussions, large U.S. companies are pursuing partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures as ways to drive growth, control costs, and boost capital efficiency. While these types of transactions are hardly new, they are becoming an increasingly important part of companies? portfolio of strategic maneuvers.
Accordingly, we undertook this study to examine the reasons for the growing popularity of alliances, the role of the CFO in these transactions, the problems senior executives face in making alliances work, and some solutions that leading companies are pursuing as alliance usage grows.
