- Abstract:
- From March through June 2007, Harvard Business School Publishing, with support from SAS and Intel, produced a series of events that took Professor Tom Davenport across North America to discuss his latest research on analytics. Davenport's article for the January 2006 issue of Harvard Business Review, "Competing on Analytics," was the Review's most frequently downloaded article of the year. It was followed by a book of the same name in March 2007. By June, it was in its fourth printing. Clearly, the idea of using analytics to improve performance and beat competitors had arrived. This report summarizes key lessons learned from this cross-country series.
