The CFO's Guide to Navigating the Cloud
with guest speaker Paul Hamerman from Forrester Research, Inc.
Date: Thu, Apr 17, 2014
Time: 11:00 A.M. ET
Duration: 1 hour
As cloud applications mature, CFOs and their teams are considering cloud-based tools for financial performance management (FPM). The benefits of the cloud -- lower costs, more rapid deployment, greater accessibility, and improved user convenience -- provide a strong allure.
Despite the cloud's benefits and the greater availability of these financial applications, an overwhelming majority of finance departments -- more than 80 percent, according to some studies -- have not yet made the move. Why not?
During this Webcast, Paul Hamerman, Vice President and Principal Analyst with Forrester Research, Inc., will explore this question from the finance perspective. Mr. Hamerman will discuss factors that have motivated some finance organizations to move to the cloud, along with the reasons why some finance executives remain satisfied with on-premise systems. Attendees will learn:
- Pros and cons of moving financial performance management applications to the cloud;
- How to determine if this solution is right for their companies; and
- Steps to consider when making the move.
