Many CFOs and controllers share a similar challenge. They aim to collaborate more effectively with other areas of their companies. To earn the trust of colleagues who lead other areas of their companies, CFOs and controllers must first ensure that the teams they lead are able to perform essential functions, such as a timely close, that only a finance operation can fulfill.
Yet too often, finance teams do not have the tools and resources -- whether on-site or available through the cloud -- that would enable them to handle their core functions quickly and efficiently.
Recent findings from Ventana Research reveal that many companies are actually taking longer to close than they did five years ago. During this Webcast, you will learn:
- Why closing promptly is important and how it reflects on Finance;
- How processes, people and software impact consolidation and the financial close; and
- The best practices companies are using -- including the application of tools available through the cloud -- to shorten their consolidation, analysis and reporting cycles.
