Summary
Corporate social responsibility is firmly established as a way of doing business in many industries. When embraced fully, the sustainability agenda crosses functional and geographical boundaries, including everything from ethical supply chains, to energy efficiency drives, to environmental mitigation in communities of operation. But for many companies, even some of those with strong CSR credentials, "going green" is still a matter for marketing and communication departments, not finance. But is this the way it should be?
In the first of two webcasts on the green agenda and the CFO, we discuss the role of the finance department in the corporate sustainability strategy. First, does being green matter to the CFO? Should it matter? If so, when should the finance department show the way and when should they let others in the organisation take the lead?
Join CFO Europe and Infor to discuss the following issues:
- Business strategy and the sustainability strategy — can they be one in the same?
- Energy efficient asset management
- Greening the supply chain
- Environmental compliance
- Green shareholders — worth impressing?
Speakers for this webcast will include:
- Moderator: Emily Williamson, Research Writer, CFO Europe Research Services
- Alistair Johnson, Global Product Marketing Manager, Financial Management Solutions, Infor
- Michael Coveney, Financial Analytic Software expert and author of ıThe Strategy Gapı
