|CFO MAGAZINE AND CFO.COM WIN 14 NATIONAL ASBPE AWARDS
|CFO Publishing brought home 14 awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors 30th Annual Azbee Awards Banquet.

NEW YORK, NY, July 28, 2008 -- CFO Publishing, which includes CFO magazine and CFO.com, won 14 national awards at the 30th annual American Society of Business Publication Editors Annual Azbee Awards Banquet. CFO Publishing is an Economist Group business.
CFO and CFO.com won 14 national awards from ASBPE, in addition to several Northeast regional awards received earlier. Those 14 national prizes included seven gold editorial and design awards, more than any other publication honored by the organization of business-to-business publication editors. The competition of business-to-business publications attracted more than 2,300 entries.
CFO also received honorable mention in both the Magazine of the Year and Website of the Year competitions, the only organization to be so honored in both print and digital divisions. The Magazine of the Year competition was entered by nearly 70 organizations.

Editorial gold Azbee Awards in the over-80,000 circulation category were for case history, news section, and overall headline writing. Silver and bronze awards in the editorial arena were for news analysis, individual/organization profile, and original web feature. Editorial staffers honored were Don Durfee, Julia Homer, Sarah Johnson, David Katz, Tom Leander, Michelle Leder, Scott Leibs, Marie Leone, Alan Rappeport, Tim Reason, and Alix Stuart. In design, the overall eight awards included four gold for front cover illustration, front cover photo, opening page/spread (illustrated), and opening page/spread (photo). Recognized for design excellence were Robert Lesser, Heather Godin and Carol Lieb.
