I think there is typically a conflict that goes on between Marketing departments and Financial but in reality if we learn to work togeather early in the carear we can come up with many ways to go about buisness while satisfying both groups maximizing the quality and effectivness of the buisness

Very interesting article outlining the Finance/Marketing conflict. I have worked as CFO in performance marketing now for a number of years and see affiliate marketing as a perfect blend between the two departments. If finance help marketing to set commission levels, each additional pound spent on marketing will be guaranteed to provide RoI. Our system allows for great flexibility in setting commission levels and so allow marketing and finance to work together to drive growth that pleases both departments. Follow us at @prfhn to find out more. I will be happy to talk if you want to find out more about performance marketing or PHG.
