Corporate alumni networks are an increasingly valuable resource for employees and employers alike.

Kate, how true. Kudos to those companies who make it easier for their "alumni employees" to network and dialogue! As more and more individuals are leaving blue chip America to start their own business, it'll be interesting to track how many ad hoc and formal networks get built. I just read an interesting article online at www.startupnation.com (written by Jeff and Richard Sloan) that talked about this same topic. Networking and grassroots marketing are essential for small business success. There's a great podcast on the topic too. Your readers might enjoy it.
