The bottomless well of opportunities is no more, so job candidates are being less choosey and resigning themselves to lower pay.

Employers here in SE Asia are either more than skeptical or down right rude when it comes to interviewing staff. First, they would insult you by saying didn't you know us before from the recent change in website? Second, they would say how would you improve the fortunes of our organization in terms of ranking in the world? Third, they would also scold you for coming for the interview and make you feel very small and uncomfortable. Really, they tend to forget when times get better they would be blacklisted by candidates and future business associates who went through the mill.
