American companies are shut out in a global contest that identifies the eight that are best at sustainability reporting.

These seems to be a contest as to which corporation can tell the best tale. I noticed that the companies listed as 'winners' for their Sustainability Reports are in countries with traditionally weak agencies that can be induced to look the other way if properly compensated or coerced (Russia!?! Please!). Most anyone could create a winning Sustainability Report for a company in Belize. Without some common standard of honest evaluation, this is a story-telling competition and yet another way for the global left to assail American capitalism.
