If we have a clear need for additional faculty, it might be time to overcome the "full-time only" approach to doctoral programs. There are many talented practitioners who would make the investment of time and funds in to switch to academic careers in the institutions were more reasonable in developing their programs.

I think that there can be a merger of IFRS and the 150 college credit hours most states require before a candidate can sit for the CPA exam. I think schools have struggled to identify what students should take for the final 30 hours. There are few accounting courses taken since the candidates have already taken most of them in their undergraduate programs. IFRS coursework will help to fill the gap and also provide some real meaning to the 150 hour requirement.
