Alan is so right about the need for accountants to become more familiar and stay involved in technology decisions. Also, it has become an imperative to have accounting-savvy technologists who can understand the financial reporting process and communicate with the accountants. The success of companies and organizations in general will depend a great deal in their ability to serve as catalysts of this convergence.

Don't count OUT us that have been in the accounting/management/IT jobs all these years :) With Experience, Comes Company Changes in the Software. We HAVE TO learn the new products, if we want to keep our jobs :) As a CFO, I'm involved in all areas and I love learning with new software/equipment that can make my job run smoothly & accurately.
