CFOs on the Move: Week Ending August 17

Owens Corning has promoted Michael McMurray to the top finance spot. He has been at the company since 2008, and most recently served as vice president and finance leader of its Building Materials Group.

Media and marketing research company Arbitron Inc. has named Debra Delman CFO and executive vice president, finance, effective August 28. She replaces Sean Creamer, who has been interim CFO since May. Previously, Delman was senior vice president, strategic operations and finance, at National Public Radio Inc., where she was recently named chief strategy officer.

Linda Pearce is the new finance chief at fitness-products firm Nautilus Inc. She joins the company from Warn Industries Inc., where she was also CFO.

Avaya Inc. has named Dave Vellequette to lead the finance function. He takes over from Anthony Massetti, who is leaving the company. Formerly, Vellequette was CFO of JDS Uniphase Corp.

Holding company Tessera Technologies Inc. has appointed C. Richard Neely Jr. to the top finance spot. He succeeds Michael Anthofer, who has resigned. Most recently, Neely headed finance at Livescribe Inc.

Jeffrey Jones is retiring as finance chief of Vail Resorts Inc. and president of its retail, real estate, and lodging businesses, effective December 31. The company plans to start a search for his successor immediately.

Abraxas Petroleum Corp. has appointed Geoffrey King to lead the finance function. He succeeds Barbara Stuckey, who is retiring. Most recently, King was a senior energy analyst at Van Eck Associates.

Social-innovation software company Spigit has named Jim Walker CFO and COO. He previously held several roles during his career at Alara Inc., including chairman of the board, president, and CEO.
