Investment-management company Artisan Partners has named C.J. Daley as its finance chief and managing director, effective July 26. He comes to the firm from Legg Mason Inc., where he was CFO.
Jonathan Peacock will take over the top finance spot at biotechnology firm Amgen Inc. on September 1, replacing Michael Kelly, who has been acting CFO since May. Most recently, Peacock was CFO and administration officer at Novartis Pharmaceutical AG.
Investment bank Moelis & Co. has appointed Joseph Simon managing director and CFO. He joins the company from Financial Security Assurance, where he headed finance.
Francis Joyce is the new finance chief at engineering-services company MISTRAS Group Inc. He is a former CFO of Macquarie Infrastructure Co.
James Shields has been appointed to lead the finance function at payment-services company MoneyGram International. Previously, he was treasurer and senior vice president finance at Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
CliniComp Intl. has named James Kesaris chief operating officer and CFO. He joins the enterprise clinical documentation systems provider from SCMS Capital LLC, where he was an investor-relations and business-development associate.
Joe Bedewi has been promoted to the top finance spot at Solar Power Inc., succeeding Jeffery Winzeler, who resigned. Bedewi has been executive vice president of finance since December 2009.
WorldGate has appointed James Dole CFO, treasurer, and senior vice president, finance. He takes over from Joel Boyarski, who will stay in his position as principal financial officer and principal accounting officer until August, and then become a senior adviser until his retirement in October. Dole joins WorldGate, a video phone and digital voice services provider, from EarthLink, where he was chief corporate development officer.
Daniel Muehl has been selected to lead the finance function at OPX Biotechnologies Inc., a renewable biofuel and biochemical company. Most recently, he was vice president of finance at Pharmion Corp.
Label manufacturer Multi-Color Corp. has promoted Sharon Birkett to the post of chief financial and accounting officer. Birkett, who replaces Dawn Bertsche, had been named vice president corporate controller in February.
