CFO, the award-winning publishing business for chief financial officers from The Economist Group, is expanding its footprint in fast-growing emerging markets. The first issue of a new magazine, CFO Russia, will appear this November, published under license by B2B Media, a Russian publishing company.
Circulated to some 25,000 Russian finance executives, the monthly title will be in Russian and will carry local content produced by B2B Media’s journalists as well as a selection of translated articles from CFO magazine in the United States, CFO Europe and CFO Asia, which are part of The Economist Group’s stable of CFO-focused titles.
Established in 2004, B2B Media (Business Media Communications) is part of Russia’s largest, private media holding company, Prof-Media (www.profmedia.ru). The company publishes a range of its own business magazines, as well as several under license from other publishers such as Nielsen and Haymarket.

“Moscow is now one of the leading forces in the global finance market, making it an optimum time to launch CFO Russia,” said Vilen Novosartov, the CEO of B2B Media.
Helen Alexander, Chief Executive of The Economist Group, added “This latest addition to the CFO brand family demonstrates our commitment to developing intelligent media brands for high-end audiences in the world’s most dynamic markets.”
