Ross Tennenbaum | Avalara
Ross Tennenbaum, CFO of cloud-based tax compliance automation provider Avalara, was appointed president. Tennenbaum joined the company five years ago and has been CFO since 2020, helping to scale Avalara's business to exceed $1 billion in revenue last year. Before that, he was executive vice president of strategic initiatives at the company. Earlier, his experience includes a 10-year investment banking career at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse, including working with Avalara for over five years and leading its IPO in 2018.
Aaron Bloomer | Exact Sciences
Exact Sciences, a cancer screening and diagnostic test provider, hired Aaron Bloomer as chief financial officer. Bloomer previously worked at healthcare company Baxter International, where he led corporate financial planning, reporting, and analytics as vice president. He spent 13 years at multinational conglomerate 3M, where he was senior vice president of FP&A, and as CFO for 3M China and one of the company’s divisions in Tokyo, Japan. Bloomer joins the company as executive vice president of finance and will succeed Jeff Elliott on May 15. Elliott will then transition to a special advisor to the chief executive officer.
Elizabeth Larson | Siemens Government Technologies
Elizabeth Larson was named CFO of Siemens Government Technologies, a U.S. subsidiary of Siemens. Larson has worked at Siemens for 22 years, most recently as head of finance for the Apparatus segment of electronic products since 2019. Larson has held diverse finance leadership roles during her tenure with Siemens, including manager of finance and performing controller and regional controller of the Americas and Asia Pacific. She began her career in public accounting focusing on real estate and related management companies as clients. Upon joining Siemens, she quickly transitioned to financial analyst roles.
Daniel Berenbaum | Bloom Energy
Bloom Energy, a clean energy solutions provider, appointed Daniel Berenbaum as chief financial officer, effective April 29. Berenbaum most recently served as CFO of National Instruments, an automated test equipment and virtual instrumentation software provider. Before that, he held executive finance positions in several other high-tech companies, including vice president of finance and global operations controller for Micron Technology; chief financial officer of Everspin Technologies; and Asia Pacific CFO of GlobalFoundries. Berenbaum also spent seven years in various technical and management roles at Applied Materials and five years as a nuclear-power-trained surface line officer in the United States Navy. Berenbaum succeeds Greg Cameron, who will remain with the company until mid-May to help with the transition.
Cherly Sadro | Johns Hopkins Medicine
Baltimore, Maryland-based Johns Hopkins Medicine has tapped Cherly Sadro as its new CFO and senior vice president. Prior, Sadro served as finance chief of Sacramento, California-based UC Davis Health. In her new role, Sadro will oversee six hospitals, as well as Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
Amy Campbell | REV Group
Amy Campbell has joined REV Group as its new chief financial officer. Campbell previously held CFO roles at ASC Engineered Solutions, a provider of precision-engineered pipes, valves, fittings and design tools, and at construction and civil engineering company BrandSafway’s commercial and industrial division. She also had a 23-year tenure with construction and mining equipment manufacturer Caterpillar, which included several segment CFO roles, vice president of investor relations, and chief audit officer. Campbell joined Caterpillar as an intern and held accounting and finance leadership positions across manufacturing operations, global information systems and product development.
EdNeumann | Versapay
Versapay, an accounts receivable software company, announced that Ed Neumann is its new CFO. Neumann succeeds Russell Lester, who held the role from September 2022 through March of this year. The company noted that Neumann is a seasoned “growth CFO,” and has held past roles at Workrise, Borderfree, Lightspeed Commerce, and Shopkeep. Neumann joins CEO Cary O’Connor Kolaja, who began her tenure at the top a year ago, and who recently announced the hiring of Gaby Kozakov as the company’s new chief technology officer.
Chris Durand | Rhode Island Public Transportation Authority
Rhode Island Public Transportation Authority’s (RIPTA) chief financial officer Chris Durand is stepping in as interim chief executive officer after Scott Avedisian resigned. Avedisian, who has been CEO of the transit authority for six years, resigned this week after pleading not guilty to leaving the scene of a fender bender at a McDonald’s drive-thru. Durand has worked at RIPTA for almost six years and has been CFO since Dec. 2021.
Dave Murray | ASOS
British online fast-fashion retailer ASOS named Dave Murray as CFO, effective April 29. Murray was most recently finance chief of MatchesFashion, a luxury e-commerce platform, and before that, he held senior finance roles at luxury e-commerce company Farfetch. Earlier he worked at Amazon in the U.K., most recently as European finance director for Amazon logistics, and spent 10 years working at Sainsbury's, most recently as head of retail finance. Murray replaces interim CFO Sean Glithero, who is leaving the company.
Tone Hegland Bachke | Telenor
Norwegian telecommunications company Telenor’s chief financial officer, Tone Hegland Bachke, is leaving the company to take a board position at Dutch trading company SHV Holdings. Bachke, who has worked at the company for almost six years with the last four in the CFO role, will stay with Telenor until August 1st, at the latest. Kasper Wold Kaarbø, senior vice president of performance and ownership in Telenor Group, was appointed acting CFO, effective May 8th. Since joining Telenor in 2004, Kaarbø has held several senior positions across finance and strategy functions in the group. He has also held several board positions within Telenor and is currently a member of the Board of Directors in CelcomDigi.
Debora Delaney | Catalina Crunch
Catalina Crunch, a snack and health food maker, appointed Debora Delaney as finance chief. For the last two years, she has worked at health and wellness company The Hain Celestial Group, most recently as CFO of its North American division. Before that, she was vice president of FP&A for snack food company KIND North America. Earlier in her career she held finance leadership positions at Pinnacle Foods and Mondelez International.
Lindsay Shumlas | Cotopaxi
Cotopaxi named Lindsay Shumlas as a part of the company’s C-suite, as Shumlas will be taking on a dual CFO and COO role. She succeeds Stephan Jacob, who co-founded the outdoor clothing retailer and held the title for 10 years. Shumlas leaves her CEO position at retailer Vici, which she served for over two years. Prior, she served as CFO, COO, and CEO at Manhattan Beachwear. She additionally held the CFO title at Matilda Jane Clothing.
Rob Otto | Kent Outdoors
Ohio-based outdoor equipment retailer Kent Outdoors hired Rob Otto as its new finance chief. The company noted Otto has an “exemplary track record” in consumer packaged goods, wholesale, and direct-to-consumer business. Before his appointment, Otto facilitated the sale of RW Designs, where he had served as CFO and COO. In addition to RW Designs, Otto has worked in a CFO capacity for Hudson Jeans, Big Strike, and Affliction Clothing.
Anna Loomis | Renown Health
Renown Health, a nonprofit healthcare network based in Nevada, has named Anna Loomis as its new CFO, effective July 1. Loomis will remain as CFO and interim CEO of Portland-based Legacy Health until she transitions to her new role. Before Legacy Health, Loomis also served as CFO of MultiCare Health System, based in Washington.
